What kind of personal information do you need to start an account?
To start a free account with moneyStrands, all you need during registration is a valid email address. Upon registration you can set up your accounts by uploading your financial data via a CSV, OFX or QFX file.

To start a premium account with moneyStrands, you will need to provide a credit card number in addition to a valid email address. After registration, you can link your accounts automatically by providing the log–in information for your online financial accounts. moneyStrands will then automatically pull together the data from your accounts and provide you with an accurate and up–to–date view of your finances.

Is my profile anonymous? Will my data be shared with other users or third parties?
Yes, your profile is completely anonymous. All your information is protected in accordance with the moneyStrands Privacy Policy and Terms of Service and will not be shared with any third parties.

How secure is moneyStrands?
Security is our number one priority at moneyStrands. We follow the same industry standards as your financial institution follows including industry standard SSL encryption, continuous security assessments and 24/7 CCTV video surveillance at our data center. How do I know if you support my bank?
With moneyStrands manual accounts you are able to upload transactions in CSV, QFX or OFX, thereby supporting financial institution around the world.

Is there anything I need to download?
No, moneyStrands is a web-based application. You can access our personal finance software by logging in through your browser.

What browsers do you support?
Currently we support Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer v7 and up. We highly recommend using the most current version of these browsers.

How can I contact you if I find a bug or have a suggestion?

I’ve created a manual account, but I can’t get my CSV/QFX/OFX file to import.
If you are trying to import your CSV/QFX/OFX file and you receive an error message that it cannot be loaded, please view our formatting criteria (located within the add account widget) or contact us at feedback@moneyStrands.com

How can I delete one of my financial accounts?
If you want to permanently delete a financial account from your moneyStrands profile, click on the "x" at the top right hand corner of the account widget (from the accounts page).

If you want to delete a sub-account (i.e. joint account, business account), you have the option to exclude it from the cashflow tab and analysis tab. To do this, find the account listed on the left-hand side bar and un-tick the checkbox.
